Today the Beavers took the junglepath through the forest. They climbed over fallen tree trunks, ran through the tall grass, and played with big branches. After this adventurous track, we played a smuggling game. The Beavers were divided into two teams. One team had to smuggle the coins, and the other team had to stop them. It was an exciting battle, but in the end only one team managed to collect the most coins.

We also played a game of “buskruit.” It is a variation of hide-and-seek in which the base is a ball. The ball can be kicked away, and when that happens all the Beavers who had been found are free again. They then have to quickly hide once more.

We ended the morning by enjoying some delicious fresh strawberries. 🍓

A few weeks ago, the Beavers built birdhouses. Today they were finally painted. The new Beavers, who didn’t have a birdhouse, also made beautiful paintings. They painted houses, people, and lots of colorful stripes. While the paintings were drying, we played lasertag. The two teams shot at each other and hid behind large obstacles. We also played lots of hoop games, such as the tag game “hoop away” and a relay race. To finish off the morning, we also played a game of block football.

Today the Beaver put their golfing skills to the test. We went to a place that had 18 holes. The trails had colourfull obstacles, jumps and bumps. Many hole-in-ones were also made. Do you also want to go on wild adventures? Sign up for a trial day, today!!!

Today was the regional movie day. All the Beavers from the region Eindhoven got together to watch a movie. We watched the secret live of pets 2. There was a lot of excitement and laughing. There was also a lot of chips eating. After the movie there was a picknick. All the Beavers could eat as much bread and drink as much lemonade as they’d like. To end this very nice morning, we also did a lot of running outside.

The cubs of the MH also had a friendsday today. We played a big game in the forest. The cubs had to buy and sell cows. But the if the cubs were tagged, their cow would become sick. A sick cow could not be sold. Therefore, the cubs first had the heal their cows at the doctor. The healed cows could be sold again. Every cub even sold more than 5 cows. After this game, we roasted bread above a fire. It was very delicious!

This week it was friendsday again. On this day every Beaver can bring all their friends to explore what being a scout is like. We began with playing block football and hoop tag. After running a lot, we walked to a different field in the forest. Here we played the smuggling coins game. One team had to smuggle coins from one side of the field towards the other sides, while the other team would try and tag them. After this, we burned marshmallows above a fire. All the Beavers ate a ton of s’mores and had a lot of fun. To end of this fine morning, we played a game of red light, green light.

One of the Beaver rules is that a Beaver should always be good to nature. That is why we helped the birds today by building birdhouses. The supervisors sawed the different wooden pieces that were needed. Then the Beavers started their building adventure. With help they built the most beautiful birdhouses that the birds will surely love.

We also played a lot of different football  games. We started with Belgium football. In this game you can only score and the wrong side of the goal. Instead of from the front you can only score through the back of the goal. Afterwards we played a game in which the Beavers were split into teams. Every team had to throw a hoop and get the ball into the hoop in the least amounts of kicks. We ended this morning with block football. What an adventurisitc morning this was!

Today the roles at the Beavers turned around. They got to decide all the adventures they did that day. We started by walking pretty far, until we reached a playground. After playing for a while, we walked further to a field. There we played hoop tag. After returning to the club house, we roasted sausages above a fire and at these happily.

Even though all the other beavers stayed inside their holes, the GFB2 Beavers went on an adventure in the snow. We started by having a big snowball fight and afterwards building a snowman. We then visted the Karpendonkse plas which was still partly frozen. With help, the Beavers threw big balls of snow in the lake, hoping the ice would crack. They were succesful :). We also played hoop football. In this game everyone will have their own hoop and they need to roll the ball into the hoops of other players. We finished this nice morning with a warm cup of delicious tea around the fire.

This year, we once again had a grand Christmas spectacle. We started in the afternoon with a large joint opening where everyone received a Christmas tree with 7 white baubles. For each completed game, a bauble was colored in. In the first game, we roasted cheese with ham and marshmallows over the fire. In the second and third games, two teams competed against each other with NERF guns, trying to shoot each other as many times as possible. In the fourth game, each group set up a part of an obstacle course, which everyone completed at the end. In the fifth game, we made Christmas arrangements. Everyone received a floral foam block and could place beautiful branches and leaves in it. They could also decorate their block with colored sticks, stickers, and ribbons. In the sixth game, we made candles, and in the seventh game, we played a Christmas tree relay. It was a really fun Christmas spectacle!!
