Cooking outside
We got to work with wood and fire and made a delicious campfire stew together 🔥🥘 Everything over an open fire, nice and messy, and above all, together. Cooking, eating, and enjoying ourselves outdoors.
That’s scouting the way we do it. ~ Lorenz
Pizza oven
Building, heating, and baking 🔥 During the scouting program, we built our own brick oven and baked homemade pizzas in it. Working together, learning by doing, and finishing with something tasty. That’s scouting! ~ Lorenz
Taster day – Live game of goose
Today was the teaser day, and we played a live game of goose. We did various tasks and had a competition to see who could burn through the rope the fastest. ~ Henry
The fall of the kingdom
During our scouting program, we built a target structure with water balloons and fired at them with bows and arrows. 🏹
Full of action and fun, exactly what scouting is all about! ~ Lorenz
Clash of paint
after the paint fight with horses, the armor was still undamaged. A game of Marco Polo with a painted pool noodle proved to be the consequence. After the battle, it was time to “exercise” with a self-invented football game. Let’s just hope there were no injuries! ~ Yannick
Sinterklaas program
Today we did a Sinterklaas program. We started with a dice game involving presents, then we played various games related to Sinterklaas. We had to wrap a bar stool so that it didn’t look like a bar stool. And in the end, everyone earned their Piet diploma. ~ Henry
Sinterklaas parkour
We created a beautiful parkour with the group and covered it in all kinds of different ways, in Piet style of course, because after all, it’s Sinterklaas. We had a fun afternoon and really enjoyed the program and the peppernuts, of course! ~ Nicolas
Explorer Volleyball Tournament
We are proud to announce that our Explorers remained undefeated at the Regional Explorer Volleyball Tournament again this year! They defended their title and took home the coveted challenge cup, where it belongs, of course.
It was an exciting tournament with 11 opponents, but our boys showed why they are the reigning champions: rock-hard passes and perfect smashes that left the competition reeling. From the group stage to the final, the team remained cool-headed and disciplined, culminating in a thrilling final that we won convincingly.
The challenge cup is now back in our cabinet, gleaming, ready for another year.
Bob Ross
Bob Ross or painted by an explorer? This program was all about the amazing painter Bob Ross. Thanks to excellent preparation, we had assembled an easel with drills and were then able to start painting. Each subject took 10 minutes, after which we moved on to the next one. Each painting was more beautiful than the last, and we ended up having a very enjoyable afternoon. ~ Yannick
Potato Cannon program
On Saturday, November 8, we had a super fun Potato Cannon program at the scouting club! The participants were divided into two teams and first built their own catapults with rubber bands. Then we played various games. We had to shoot potatoes at posters in trees, try to shoot as far as possible, and even play a kind of boules with the posters. Points were awarded for each game, and the team with the most points at the end won. Everyone had a lot of fun.
