Sinterklaas program
Today we did a Sinterklaas program. We started with a dice game involving presents, then we played various games related to Sinterklaas. We had to wrap a bar stool so that it didn’t look like a bar stool. And in the end, everyone earned their Piet diploma. ~ Henry
Sinterklaas parkour
We created a beautiful parkour with the group and covered it in all kinds of different ways, in Piet style of course, because after all, it’s Sinterklaas. We had a fun afternoon and really enjoyed the program and the peppernuts, of course! ~ Nicolas
Explorer Volleyball Tournament
We are proud to announce that our Explorers remained undefeated at the Regional Explorer Volleyball Tournament again this year! They defended their title and took home the coveted challenge cup, where it belongs, of course.
It was an exciting tournament with 11 opponents, but our boys showed why they are the reigning champions: rock-hard passes and perfect smashes that left the competition reeling. From the group stage to the final, the team remained cool-headed and disciplined, culminating in a thrilling final that we won convincingly.
The challenge cup is now back in our cabinet, gleaming, ready for another year.
Bob Ross
Bob Ross or painted by an explorer? This program was all about the amazing painter Bob Ross. Thanks to excellent preparation, we had assembled an easel with drills and were then able to start painting. Each subject took 10 minutes, after which we moved on to the next one. Each painting was more beautiful than the last, and we ended up having a very enjoyable afternoon. ~ Yannick
Potato Cannon program
On Saturday, November 8, we had a super fun Potato Cannon program at the scouting club! The participants were divided into two teams and first built their own catapults with rubber bands. Then we played various games. We had to shoot potatoes at posters in trees, try to shoot as far as possible, and even play a kind of boules with the posters. Points were awarded for each game, and the team with the most points at the end won. Everyone had a lot of fun.
Alternative Cooking
With three sturdy logs next to the fire and homemade skewers, we made a real scout meal. Chicken, bacon, onion, tomato, cheddar, and our own sauce melted together into pure outdoor cooking magic. Fire, adventure, and lots of fun! 🔥🍢 #Scouting #OutdoorCooking ~ Lorenz
Bridge Building Bonanza!
Today, our Explorers took on the ultimate challenge — building a bridge across the water… or well, a gigantic picnic table! After some serious teamwork and elbow grease, they completed this one-of-a-kind dining spot suspended above the water. And what better way to celebrate than with a feast? Pancakes were on the menu — and they were devoured with delight, right on their self-built bridge!
Life-Size Dart Madness!
Today, our Explorers went big — building a giant dartboard from scratch! After painting their massive creation, they even constructed a full-on “House of Darts” — a cozy shelter to keep dry while aiming for the bullseye. Then the real fun began: armed with a swinging rope, they launched themselves at the board in a thrilling quest for the highest score. An afternoon packed with creativity, teamwork, and tons of laughter!
